Kenny Baker, the actor behind R2-D2 has passed away

Kenny Baker the famous Star Wars robot "R2-D2", has died at the age 82 after a long problems with his lungs.

Baker, who stood 3 ft 8 in (112 cm) tall was born and educated in Birmingham, England. Baker shot the fame with the famous R2-D2 character.

Other films work from him are, The Elephant Man, Time Bandits, Willow ,Flash Gordon, Amadeus and Jim Henson's Labyrinth. On television, he appeared in the British medical drama Casualty. He also had a part in the BBC production of The Chronicles of Narnia.
