A new trend has started in China, bulding high bridges on mountains full of glasses. It sounds scary, right?
The glass bridge is one of the sights that should be visited in China. The Zhangjiaje Bridge is 426.72 meters (1,400 feet) long and it hangs almost 305 meters (1,000 feet) above the Canyon floor. The bridge can hold 30 people at once. It has also a bungee jump platform, which is the highest in the world.
The glass has 4 layers, which are very strong - even a hammer can't shatter it. Brutal tests were made to prove the reliability of the glass. Even a 2 ton SUV crossed the bridge without causing any damage to the glass. The company invited people to smash the glass with a hammer, to prove the strength of the bridge.
It cost up to $39 million to build and will be one of the greatest tourist attractions in China.
